*Each week your child must bring home his/her reading vocabulary notebook and textbook to study the words and read the week's story. A parent needs to sign the vocabulary notebook letting me know that this has been completed. Since I know everybody is busy with activities in the evenings, I am letting it up to you to decide which night to do this, Monday - Thursday. I will be checking notebooks for parent signatures on Fridays. It is a graded assignment worth 2 points. (This is in addition to the 10 points for completing the definitions in class, for a total of 12 points.) If notebooks are not signed by Friday, then the student loses those 2 points.
**Also, math homework is part of the math grade. Each assignment is worth 2 points. Your child will lose those 2 points for each math assignment not completed.
***Accelerated Reader Reminder***
Students are required to read AR books for their monthly independent reading grade. The district requirement for 3rd grade is 3 points by the end of every month. The May AR points are due May 28th. Make sure your child is reading a book at their range and is pacing themselves with the amount of points they need to earn. Please encourage your child to read at home a little each night, in addition to reading at school.
