About The Teacher
I graduated from Mt. Pleasant Area High School in 1998 after spending my elementary years at Donegal Elementary. In 2002, I graduated from California University of PA with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since then, I have graduated in May 2007 with a Master of Arts in Education/Curriculum and Instruction-Computer Education from the University of Phoenix which has increased my knowledge of technology for my own classroom and the need for it in every classroom. I am certified to teach Elementary Education, as well as, Business, Computer, and Information Technology.
This is my tenth year teaching full time. I was hired by Mt. Pleasant at the beginning of the 2003-2004 school year after subbing for the district previously. 2012-2013 is my first year teaching 5th grade. In previous school years, I have taught Technology and Kindergarten.
Besides teaching, I enjoy attending and watching auto races (especially NASCAR and sprint car racing such as the World of Outlaws). Also, I enjoy fishing on the Mon River for catfish and bass. I am a huge Pittsburgh sports fan. I love to watch the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and Pitt. I enjoy church activities and spending time with family and friends.
I have been married for nine years and have two children. Besides our kids, my wife, and I have a lab/husky mix dog named Tuck and a cat named Bailey.
